Meet the team

Cath Brown

Cath Brown is an experienced coach, accustomed to providing 1-1 coaching to both solicitors and barristers including those in leadership positions as well as coaching and facilitating groups.
She practised as a barrister at Kings Chambers, Manchester for over 14 years before re-training as a coach and facilitator.

Her coaching philosophy is informed by her belief in the power and responsibility of the individual to bring about change in their professional and personal lives and much of her coaching focuses on using effective communication to achieve your full potential.

Against that background, she employs a collaborative and conversational style which allows her clients to stop and think and gives them the time and space in which they can express themselves, explore new ideas and develop their own solutions.

She deploys her forensic skills to delve beneath the surface and identify what is perhaps not being said, or any incongruity between what is being said and what has been done.

Cath has also developed and delivered bespoke workshops on Managing Difficult Conversations (based on lessons from the courtroom), Fighting Back against Imposter Syndrome and a 2-day programme “Foundations of Leadership” designed for solicitors and other professionals who have been promoted due to their subject-expertise but who have not previously been provided with leadership training.
